  1. I didn't know arrows did that..... 5 Star Review

Posted by on 1st Nov 2017

I'm not an avid archer but have flung a few arrows over the years, but this long bow showed me something I've never seen with an arrow. For the last few years I've shot a hickory bow made by a friend with a strange bend in the lower limb (the bow, not my friend), and I could never get it fully drawn, and while it shot OK it was very inconsistent. The longbow came about two weeks ago and I've shot it twice. I picked the draw weight to match the arrows I had for the old bow, 40-45 lb. It is a beautiful piece of wood, with nice, slender lines, and it stained and finished well. I've had it to the range twice, and I'm grateful that my 37" sleeve length arms can fully draw it back. What that does is let me more naturally sight down the arrow shaft, and when I released, all I saw was a nock moving away from me, with feathers rotating around it, until it landed right in the center of the target. No side to side, no up and down, just dead level and straight shots into about a 5 inch group. Not bad for a new bow. Extremely happy with it.
